Dallas County Republican Party hosted Wesley Hunt for US Senate at their headquarters for a meet & greet on Monday, January 12, 2026.  Wesley Hunt’s team is highly organized.  Event prep began six hours in advance as the team setup sign-in tables, campaign merchandise, and the backdrop.  Since Wesley Hunt is a congressman and a statewide candidate, the event was secured with the Dallas Police Department and his security team posted in front of DCRP headquarters.

DCRP Chairman West welcomed everyone followed by the pledge of allegiance to the United States flag and the pledge of allegiance to the Texas flag. Executive Director Anne Slagel led the invocation. Local candidates Stephen Stanley for HD 113, Kurt Schwab for CD 33, and Mike Immler for Dallas County Judge stopped by to give 20-second introductions to which office each are running for, which helps them gain exposure on the campaign trail.

Chairman West conducted a town hall forum followed by an audience Q & A covering critical issues including border security, curtailing government spending, open/closed primaries, energy, foreign affairs, committees, and Sharia Law.

Attendees had the opportunity to line up and take pictures with Wesley Hunt after the town hall and audience Q & A.  Again, Team Hunt was organized by asking attendees to get their phone cameras ready to handover for them to take pictures.

Dallas County Republican Party allows candidates to use their headquarters for meet & greets but they do not endorse candidates, at least not in the primaries.
