Last Saturday, after voting, I attended my colleague Shelby Williams’ campaign kickoff. Shelby is a solid, principled conservative who is running for Collin County Commissioner, Pct. 4 to serve people over party.
Shelby’s campaign kickoff was organized and robust. Upon arrival, his event yard signs pointed to the direction of the rented out venue, Bottle Rockets Bar.
After a smooth check-in, I immediately saw “Shelby Williams for County Commissioner” on multiple TV screens, which made an impressive ambiance.

The campaign kickoff theme: college football (and free food) brought people from Collin County, Dallas County, and Denton County together at the sports bar.
The attendance of over 260 people proves that Shelby has name recognition, trust, and support from his previous public service experience as a Plano City Councilman and Collin County Republican Chair. His impressive endorsements were also listed on the TV screens.

People were eager to donate, sign up to volunteer, and sign their names on the petition to get Shelby William’s name on the ballot.
The event commenced with prayer led by pastor and advocate Dr. Troy B. Jackson followed by the Pledge Of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag and the Texas Flag. Shelby himself sang the National Anthem with all the TV screens displaying the waving U.S. Flag. Local entrepreneur and political advocate Keenan Williams introduced Shelby to everyone.

Shelby outlined his platform priorities focusing on growth, public safety, property taxes, transportation, energy, and water in his speech and on the interactive kiosk, a high-tech detail where attendees could learn about his experience and accomplishments.

Another tech-savvy detail was Mighty Photo Booths photographer who allowed attendees to instantly view and share photos. I was wowed by this because I got to see the photos immediately instead of typically waiting a day or two to see event photos.
Shelby emphasized in his speech that he is a public servant, not a politician. He deeply cares about the best interests of Collin County, which he has proven in his community engagement work.
Shelby announced his next campaign event, “Christmas Cops Party” to collect donations with the Plano Police Association. He thanked all of us for attending, acknowledging local elected officials and encouraged everyone to enjoy the food and football games.
Shelby William’s Campaign Kickoff was a cutting-edge and flawlessly organized event energizing the base to immediately focus on the critical 2026 election. Visit his website Shelby Williams to learn more and get involved.
