Today was the third time I have heard State Senator Bob Hall. Elected to the Texas Senate in 2015, Hall represents SD 2, which serves four North Texas counties and parts of Collin, Dallas, and Ellis Counties. I was impressed on his perspective and legislative action to secure our elections, which is one of my biggest political concerns.
About North Dallas Republicans
North Dallas Republicans is a local grassroots Republican organization led by Dave Garcia. This group of passionate patriots meet regularly on Friday mornings in addition to Happy Hours on weeknights.
Today was my first time attending a Friday meeting, which was held in a large private room at the Original Pancake House near Addison. Dave kicked off the event with a welcome and announcements followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag and Texas Flag, and Prayer. He also passed out campaign literature for two candidates, Tina Price for HD 112 and Monty Montañez for CD 32 who attended to help spread awareness of their races.
Senator Hall hit the ground running covering his bill SB 2753: “TX SB 2753 Seeks to streamline Texas election procedures by integrating early voting by personal appearance with Election Day operations.” His goal is to achieve a level of confidence and accuracy of voting.
In the state of Texas, there are 254 counties, which means elections are conducted by 254 county officials. In addition, there are different rules and different machines for early voting and Election Day. These two factors complicate the election integrity, which has resulted in issues with county wide voting. Senator Hall wanted to eliminate county-wide voting to reduce polling issues. Hall faced opposition and there were misstatements that he clarified at the state capital. Ultimately, SB 2753 was delayed until 2027.

Attendees heavily engaged with the Senator in hand-count voting over machines and closed primaries run by the GOP. Hall was an active listener, he said God gave him two ears and one mouth for a reason, to listen to concerns from voters. He encouraged attendees to contact his office for additional concerns. Finally, Senator Hall’s call-to-action was to work the polls to ensure election integrity. Sign-up as an election judge or alternate judge. Help hand-count votes. You can contribute to election integrity.
